Cold-rolled thin steel plates are the abbreviation for cold-rolled plates made from ordinary carbon structural steel, also known as cold-rolled sheets, commonly referred to as cold plates, and are sometimes mistakenly written as cold-rolled sheets. Cold plates are made from hot-rolled steel strips of ordinary carbon structural steel, which are further cold-rolled into plates with a thickness of less than 4mm. Because they are rolled at room temperature, no iron oxide scale is produced, resulting in good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Additionally, with annealing treatment, their mechanical properties and process performance are superior to hot-rolled thin steel plates. In many fields, especially in home appliance manufacturing, they have gradually replaced hot-rolled thin steel plates.
